Welcome to the Abstract Submission for the SSAI Annual Congress 2026

The Scientific Committee cordially invites you to submit your abstracts for oral presentations or posters.

We welcome topics regarding clinical, diagnostic, translational, experimental studies of infections, immunology, allergology, immunosuppression, and immunodeficiency.

Authors are kindly invited to submit their abstracts via this website only.Instructions for abstract submission are listed below. Abstracts submitted by fax or e-mail will not be accepted.

    Immediately after the submission is completed, the abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee.

    Details for authors

    All authors will receive a feedback report on their submission by the end of June indicating wether their abstract has been accepted by the jury and in which format or session it can be presented.

For the SSAI Annual Congress 2026, abstracts can be submitted for the following categories:

The following formats can be submitted:

  • Poster
  • Oral Presentation

Language:

Abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.

Authors are kindly requested to submit their abstracts exclusively via the congress website. Abstracts submitted by fax or e‑mail will not be accepted.

Submission Guidelines

  1. Abstract Categories & Society Affiliation:
    During submission, authors must indicate for which society the abstract is being submitted:
    • SSAI – Swiss Society for Allergology and Immunology
    • SASL – Swiss Association for the Study of the Liver
    • SYIS – Swiss Young Immunologists Society
  2. Available Scientific Categories:
    • Basic Immunology
    • Clinical Immunology
    • Allergology
    • Translational Science
    • Autoimmune Liver Diseases
  3. Presentation Format:
    • Poster
    • Oral Presentation
  4. Industry Disclosure: Authors must indicate any industry support during submission.
  5. Presenter Policy: The presenter must be an investigator or practicing physician listed among the authors. Authors employed by a company (pharmaceutical, diagnostic, data or AI) cannot act as presenter or corresponding author for clinical or translational data, defined as interventional clinical trials (Phase I–IV) or observational/real‑world data involving patients. Company employees may present preclinical data.
  6. Abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
  7. Proofing: Please ensure correct spelling. Abstracts will be published as submitted without further editing.
  8. The abstract body text is limited to 1,600 characters (including spaces).
  9. The abstract should allow proper evaluation of its significance and contribution to scientific knowledge. It should briefly state:
    • Introduction and Aim of the Study
    • Design and Methods
    • Results
    • Conclusions
  10. Standard abbreviations may be used. Uncommon abbreviations must be defined at first mention; none should appear in the title.
  11. The presenting author is requested to provide their full mailing address (including e-mail address) for all correspondence.
  12. Submitted abstracts will be evaluated and selected by the Scientific Committee.
  13. Authors may indicate their preferred presentation format (poster or oral) during submission. The Scientific Committee will make the final decision on whether an accepted abstract will be presented as an oral or poster presentation.
  14. Authors will be informed about acceptance by mid‑June 2026. Organisational details will follow thereafter.
  15. Authors whose abstracts are accepted must register for the congress and pay the registration fee.
  16. Student members and medical assistants of the SSAI or SASL may apply for a Registration Grant linked to the abstract submission process. The first ten eligible authors will receive free registration. After abstract acceptance, applicants will receive detailed information on how to apply for the grant.
